MAIN AWARD IS SATISFACTION OF FINISHING ONE OF HARDEST ULTRA EVENTS IN NORTH AMERICA.

Unique Finisher Trophy designed by Alaskan Artist Pierre Ostor, construction by Aviation Engineering Legend Gregg Pattison:  Rare item, less than 280 finisher trophies handed out in history of event.  81 finishers 2012.

Special!! 1st runner and 1st cyclist receive Free Paid Guaranteed Entry to Alaska Grandaddy of Ultra's....2014 Iditarod Trail Invitational (non-transferable and must be used 2014) worth ~$1000.  Top women (if they don't win overall) will receive Sponsor Products to be announced. "Ernest Shackleton Endurance" Award recognizing the racer (must be official finisher) who remains on the course, making forward progress for the longest period of time. This does not include checkpoint time and in the spirit of perseverance, fortitude, steadfastness and bravery would exemplify the miraculous 1914 Shackleton Expedition.
